Melasma looks like patches of brown/grey skin on the face. It is usually symmetrical so it will appear on both sides of the face. It is common on the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. There can be several triggers including, sun exposure, heat, stress, hormones, hormonal contraceptives and pregnancy.
Hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentation looks more like small brown patches that can be widespread. They can be a result of sun exposure, trauma to the skin, hormones and potential issues with the endocrine systems.
At Gallery Medispa, both of these conditions can be greatly improved by using a combination of different treatments we can provide.
TREATMENT FOR MELASMA & HYPERPIGMENTATION
At Gallery Medispa we have a variety of treatments that can help reduce the appearance of melasma and hyperpigmentation. With regular treatments in-clinic, combined with cosmeceutical-grade skin care to use at home, the results will be transformative.
All facials can include the neck and décolletage and it is recommended that all skin care used at home including SPF is brought down the neck and onto the chest area.
