It’s been dubbed the lunchtime breast enhancement or the lunchtime boob job. The no scar, no knife and no stress boob job and also cleavage enhancement. We have been injecting fillers in faces for many years – lifting and enhancing facial features in much the same way that we have been surgically lifting and enhancing breasts.
So why can’t we lift and enhance breasts using fillers or even give that cleavage contouring a boost?
Well, we can. We can have a dermal filler breast enhancement or a dermal filler cleavage contouring. All we need is slightly more robust or thicker fillers with a with a higher hyaluronic acid concentration and better filling ability, suitable for other areas of the body. That allows us to carry our procedures that restore volume to indents left after liposuction, correct the appearance of scars, and even add volume to buttocks or calves.
So why not breast enhancement? You won’t go from an A cup to a D cup, but it could add enough volume to bump patients up a cup size and to smooth and shape the breasts for a perkier, more youthful look.

Let’s look at the benefits of dermal filler breast enhancement. There are two massive advantages over other procedures. The first and main benefit is that it will give a natural look pretty much instantly. One report we read by a respected UK journalist said she saw 10cm added each side of her A cup boobs in 10 minutes! The results were so instant and so impressive she thinks she remembers kissing her practitioner through a haze of anaesthetic.
Secondly the procedure is less invasive than any other form of cosmetic breast enhancement surgery or procedure – it’s just a needle or cannula. Although there are some attendant procedures and checks you should be aware of. You should be assessed for suitability by your practitioner and take a mammogram. You should also take pain killers before the procedure and antibiotics. The practitioner will use anaesthetic because there is some pain associated with this. Indeed, it can be painful for a few days. But generally, there’s way less downtime than more invasive breast enhancement procedures.
Things to think about if you may be considering this kind of procedure are the effects of fillers in the breast on the ability to breast feed and also the possible side effects or adverse effects. There is also some debate around the possible impact of this procedure on radiological imaging – whether lumps can be masked by the filler in the same way the same debate surrounds other forms of breast implants.
So, is it safe? A large study of 4000 women treated in this way published in The National Center for Biotechnology Information, found no serious systemic complications occurred and that with small volumes of filler it was possible to “increase breast enhancement of up to one cup size, to correct differences between breasts and to create fullness in the upper portion of the breast”.

Although the steps of this facial are similar to hydrafacial they are different platforms.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
We inject a reversible hyaluronic acid dermal filler ( either Perfectha Subskin/ Aliaxin EV above the dorsal hump to fill above a bump to give the illusion of a straight nose, and sometimes under the
 columella (the base of the nose) to give lift. We can also inject into and around cartilage deformities of the nose, as appropriate to the individual patient and their individual needs. The overall effect is a smoother, streamlined and smaller looking nose.The nose never, ever looks bigger, as you can see from our results – although we’re asked this all the time. We never make the nose look larger, and indeed the contrary is true as a straight, smooth nose always and for a wide nose we can add definition, to make it appear narrower.Treatment to those patients whom have had a surgical rhinoplasty, may take more than one treatment – and need to be built in layers, to avoid compromise of blood vessels. Safety first!
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE & HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Unbelievably, the injecting procedure itself takes only 5 minutes or so! The filler lasts approximately 12-18 months, although it varies according to the individual of course.Occasionally the nose will swell a little, meaning we stop filling as soon the area appears straight (regardless of what is causing this i.e filler or oedema). The swelling (if there is indeed any) resolves relatively quickly, and there may be a tiny 2 minute top up needed to replace the tiny area that was swollen. This is rare, but we are delighted to do this for a discounted fee of-£50 off the full priced treatment.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME? IS IT THE SAME AS SURGERY?
There is little to no down time. It’s very different to surgery. Immediately after the treatment, the nose is shiny and a little red – which is to be expected when there are needles involved. This settles within a couple of hours, and you can apply makeup safely after only an hour. It’s highly unlikely anyone will be able to tell you’ve had work done. We do use needles, but we often use cannulas – meaning there is only one entry point for the whole procedure. This is a blunt vessel which distributes filler far more safely than a needle, causing far less trauma to the surrounding tissue.e effects are minimal and usually do not last long. DOES IT HURT/ BRUISE?
Of course, every patient is different – and most patients say the discomfort is minimal. Bruising isn’t impossible but only a small percentage of patients suffer from this as a result of the treatment. The most common complaint is puffiness and tenderness for a couple of days. Any discolouration can be covered with make-up, which can be safely applied an hour after treatment as mentioned earlier. The use of a cannula, significantly reduces these chances, as explained. However, the technique will be discussed with your doctor on the day during consultation, and we will likely choose the safest method, and the one best for the results of your nose type.
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?
You may experience minor lumpiness, swelling, or bruising even in experienced hands. The injections are localized and can cause temporary swelling and inflammation for a couple of days – as it’s a sensitive area! There is always a risk of vascular occlusion in all injections, which can be resolved quickly by dissolving. We use a non permanent filler so complications will usually improve and resolve with time, if you are unlucky enough to get one. However, every result can be tweaked in the requisite time period! All of the rhinoplasty fillers we use are fully reversible, instantly.
